| Katrina Hurricane - Hurricane Katrina of the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season was the costliest natural disaster, as well as one of the five deadliest hurricanes, in the history of the United States. There is an ongoing need by animal rescue groups to house and feed those pets that who still have not been re-united with their owners. |

| Haiti - Crushing poverty and environmental degradation, political instability and bad governance, and sheer geographical bad luck – have crippled Haiti’s ability to withstand and recover from tropical storms. Their pets need on-going help. |

| Japan: Earthquake/Tsunami - The tragedy in northern Japan after a devastating 9.0 earthquake and resulting Tsunami has created a monumental need for pet aid. Individuals wishing to donate towards the efforts to aid the Japanese pets can donate here. |
